River City NABA

River City NABA Umpires

Umpires are protected by name in the code, and complaints go straight to the president.

Explain it to him, and he'll be reasonable

The league's policy on officials is set out in plain language before any of the penalties: umpires shall not be physically or verbally abused; if you have a complaint about a call, explain it to him, and if you are reasonable, they will be reasonable. All decisions on the field stand regardless of your opinion, and arguing will not be tolerated.

Then the route: if problems develop with an umpire, notify the league president, give him the umpire's name, and it will be looked into. That is a real complaints procedure with a named person at the end of it.

The protections behind it are the strictest in this directory -- ten games minimum and possible criminal prosecution for laying hands on an official, four games for following one off the field, and a manager's suspension if his spectators do it.

No association or assignor is named, and no route to working games is published. Assigning crews across a Sunday-only league is the same problem as the schedule, and a High Cheese league page runs both from one fixture list.
