Sundays, and only Sundays
River City NABA has been running since 1993 and calls itself Sacramento's original Sunday-only adult baseball league. That restriction is the product: one day a week, no weeknight scramble, for players 17 and over across divisions at 18+, 25+ and 35+.
Its stated goal is to offer the most complete amateur league experience in Sacramento -- a competitive All-Star Game, playoffs and championship games -- and it backs that with two seasons. The Summer Championship season runs fifteen-plus games on Sundays from spring through September, with the 2026 edition starting on 29 March. Alongside it sits a Fall/Winter continuation season from November to March on shortened time-limit games, which the league describes honestly as a more relaxed team-building and tune-up affair at lower cost.
Its three headline claims are quality competition, quality playing fields and responsive league leadership, and on the last it puts its money where its mouth is: the president's name, email and telephone number are on the front page with an invitation to call him.
What none of that produces is a public record. A High Cheese league page keeps the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, which for a league in its thirty-third year is the difference between a season and an archive.
