A whole portal for the officials
North County gives umpires their own top-level section with four things in it: an application for new officials, a published umpire roster, an availability form, and an ejection form.
That is a properly run officiating operation. The availability form means crews are assigned against declared dates rather than by telephone. The ejection form means every ejection generates a written record that reaches the league. The application means the league is recruiting.
Almost no adult league in this directory treats its umpires as an organisation with its own workflow, and this one has built more infrastructure for them than most build for their players.
Assigning crews across six divisions on weekend fields is the same scheduling problem as the games. A High Cheese league page runs both from one fixture list, so an umpire's availability and a Saturday's fixtures resolve against each other automatically.
