A twelve-month year
The league's year has no dead months. Winter workouts run every year from January through March, built to feed the expansion programme and open to players already on teams whose clubs do not organise off-season work. The March outdoor tryout follows. Spring and summer ball starts in April and runs to August, fall ball from September to November, and the league also runs a pre-season March Madness softball fundraiser and a kick-off party.
The site carries a calendar with month, list and day views, which is where any of this would appear if it were dated.
A season on a High Cheese league page is dated once and then shows up in every player's own calendar, workouts and tryouts included, which for a league that programmes eleven months of the year is most of the administration gone.
