Twenty-two years, and every reshuffle recorded
The league started in 2005 as the Cumberland Valley Adult Baseball League with one 40+ division and four teams. Three years later it renamed itself Middle Tennessee Adult Baseball Association to match the region it actually served. An 18+ division arrived in 2010. In 2013 the 40+ split into a 45+ and a 35+. In 2022 the 45+ became a 50+. A new 40+ ran a limited schedule in 2024. In 2025 it carried three full-time divisions with nineteen clubs — eight at 18+, six at 30+, five at 50+ — plus three part-time 60s sides, and in 2026 the 60s go full-time, giving it four.
Publishing every division split, rename and false start over twenty-two years, rather than only the current shape, is the most honest institutional history in this directory. Every season played on High Cheese keeps itself as standings, box scores and rosters together, so a league that has reorganised itself six times has each version preserved with the men who played it.
