One game, five places it counts
The league keeps a Scores page beside its standings, and every result it records reaches four other pages: the season standings with runs scored and allowed, the season and advanced statistics, the career leaderboards, and the records board where a hitting streak is dated to the day.
That is the whole argument for entering a game properly, made by a recreational league on Maui. Somebody is currently doing that reconciliation by hand across thirty-five seasons. On High Cheese a final entered once becomes the box score, the standings line, the player's career record and the record board together — the same result, without the reconciliation.
