Seven clubs, named after where they are from
The league fields the West Maui Brewers, Kihei Centipedes, Upcountry Dirtbags, Nahiku Gorillas, La Perouse Pirates, Sharks and Lahaina Warriors, each with its own page. The naming convention is written into the league's history: teams take island-themed names, and the Brewers are the noted exception, having bucked the requirement when a player obtained a sponsorship through his employer.
Upcountry, Kihei, Nahiku, Lahaina, La Perouse — the club list is a map of Maui, and the one club named for a company had to be explained. Over 120 active players are spread across the seven. Rosters on High Cheese update as men sign and follow a player between clubs and seasons, so a career of 335 games has the clubs attached to it.
