They gave the players a column
The league runs a Players Tribune section, a Swinger Series, a Media area and a News page, alongside its shop. Its history is illustrated throughout — a Summer 2010 all-star game in Lahaina with a representative of every team, the Pirates' inaugural team photograph, the first six men to reach a hundred games standing with the founder, and nine managers named left to right at a pre-season meeting at a batting cage in Kihei.
Naming everybody in a photograph, left to right, is what a league does when it expects somebody to look at it in twenty years. Team and league pages on High Cheese carry photos and push them into a feed the whole league reads, so a players' column and a team photograph sit with the season they belong to.
