Discipline, written out in full
A first ejection is a one-game suspension, non-negotiable and unappealable, and the player must turn up and check in with the opposing manager to have served it. A second is three games, appealable to the discipline committee; a third triggers a conduct review. A suspended man may take part in warm-ups but must be off the field thirty minutes before first pitch, out of uniform, off the bench and out of the bullpen — he may watch from the stands but will be judged as a player rather than a fan. Managers fall under Baseball Ontario's code and are answerable for their players' conduct. And no manager may approach a player signed to another GTBL club without first telling that club's manager.
Requiring a suspended player to show his face to the opposing manager is the single smartest disciplinary rule in this directory. High Cheese keeps a league's rules beside its schedule and its rosters, so a suspension attaches to the man and the game he has to sit out.
