The administrative year, published
The league's own year is written into the constitution: the annual general meeting falls in January, additional meetings including a scheduling meeting run through the year, and the wrap-up meeting must be held within sixty days of the championship game. Every club must send a representative to each meeting or forfeit its voice and its vote. League fees are due in full by July 1. Playing dates run through the summer at 7:30 on weeknights, into the Provincials and the league championship.
Publishing the meeting calendar as well as the playing one is what lets a club plan a year rather than a season. A High Cheese calendar carries both — fixtures, tournaments and the dates the league needs its clubs in a room — and subscribes to a phone.
