One man booking the whole league
Chris Teliatnik is published as Umpire in Chief and Scheduler, holding both jobs. The bylaws set an annual fee for clubs using the umpire administrator, covering all booking and arranging of umpires for the regular season and the playoffs. The President is required to inform the umpire in chief of any change to league rules, disciplinary procedures or penalties, and umpire reports drive the whole disciplinary code — a general ejection produces an automatic suspension, while a report describing physical violence or a confrontation after the game goes to the discipline committee.
Combining the umpire chief and the scheduler in one person is efficient and it means the fixture list and the crew list live in the same head. On High Cheese the crew attaches to the fixture, so the two jobs he already does become one action.
