Scarborough Adult Baseball League Rules

Governed by constitution

The league's governing documents are a constitution and a code of conduct, both published, alongside the provincial protocols it has adopted for removing an injured player from a game and returning him to sport.

The only playing rule stated in plain text is the age: 19 and over.

Its published statistical qualification -- two plate appearances per team game played -- is effectively a rule too, and it is the sort of thing most leagues argue about instead of writing down.

A constitution reaches the committee. A High Cheese league page keeps the playing rules beside the fixture, where a manager is already looking at eight thirty on a Sunday morning.
