Written by somebody who has had the argument
Games run two hours thirty, no new inning after 10:00pm, one extra inning if tied and a hard stop at 10:30 with the tie standing. Mercy at twelve runs after seven, or fifteen in the fifth or sixth by agreement. Wood and wood-composite only, without exception. Metal spikes allowed unless the surface says otherwise. Three dozen baseballs a team for the season, two new ones handed to the plate umpire before every game and the rest split afterwards. Eight players to start, and the opposing team must lend a fielder to make it eight. A forfeit is recorded 12-6 rather than 9-0 — scored deliberately to keep run differentials honest.
That forfeit rule is the best single line of rule-writing in this directory: it protects the table from a game nobody played. High Cheese keeps a league's own rules beside its schedule and computes the table from the games, so a 12-6 forfeit lands in the standings exactly as the rulebook intends rather than by hand.
