Built around a curfew
The playing day is defined rather than dated: two hours thirty minutes, no new inning after 10:00pm, a tie game getting one more inning and everything stopping at 10:30. Visiting clubs take infield no later than 30 minutes before first pitch and get 15 minutes; the home side takes the last 15. Rained-off games go to the end of the season calendar, and late-season cancellations are only replayed if they decide a playoff seed.
No date, month or season length is published anywhere. A High Cheese calendar carries the whole year, moves a rained-out Tuesday to the end of the season as the rules require, and subscribes to every player's phone so the new date finds him.
