The frame without the notice
The front page is built around an Announcements section and a This Week's Events block covering the 25+ and 35+ divisions. Neither carries anything for a plain reader.
A This Week's Events panel is exactly the right thing to put at the top of an adult league's page, and it is doing nothing. A league on High Cheese gets a wire where finals post themselves as the books are finalized and this week's games fill that block on their own.
Ft. Worth MSBL in detail
- Two divisions, 25+ and 35+, run to a rulebook that has thought of everything.
- Filters for both divisions and every team, and not one game listed.
- A standings link, two divisions, and no table behind it.
- Official at four and a half innings, 12-6 on a forfeit, and a tie is a tie.
- Twelve minimum, eight games to be eligible for the playoffs, and an ID challenge any time.
- The rules name an online statistics page. Nothing renders on it.
- A contact form, a rain-out line, and a protest window of 24 hours.
- A free agent form, a signed waiver, and a president who can assign you to a short club.
- A table headed Name, Address and Map, with nothing in it.
- Two and a half hours, nothing new after ten, and a forfeit scored 12-6 on purpose.
- No album or gallery.
- Doc's Gloveworks and D-BAT Benbrook.
- Played to a winner, no matter how many nights it takes.
- No founding year or past champions are published.
- A president, an executive board, a disciplinary committee and a membership coordinator — none named.
- Who can play is answered exhaustively. Where and when are not answered at all.
- A liability waiver carrying an emergency contact, and a rulebook of eighteen headings.
- Weeknights ending at 10:30, rainouts pushed to the end of the season.
- Uniforms are required to a professional standard; nothing is sold.
- Paid per game, refunded on a suspension, and the plate umpire holds the clock.
