Nobody goes home tied
The rulebook devotes a heading to playoffs and league tournaments, and states the principle plainly: post-season games must be played until a winner is declared. A playoff game called for darkness or curfew resumes at the next available date, at a time convenient to both clubs. Not every team is guaranteed a playoff place, the format may change depending on when the season ends, and no refunds follow from lost games. Only men on the final roster with eight regular season games behind them are eligible.
Refusing to let a postseason end in a tie, and saying so before the season starts, is the right way round. High Cheese builds and runs a bracket off the standings the season already produced and knows from the rosters who has his eight games in, so eligibility is checked rather than contested.
