National League, essentially unchanged
Games are conducted according to official MLB National League rules with only minor modifications to suit the adult amateur format, and the league publishes its own rulebook as a document dated 2025. The 35+ is wood bat, as is the entire Texas Cup Classic, where games run nine innings or a two-and-a-half hour limit and the inning is finished.
Choosing the National League — pitchers hitting, no designated hitter — is a real statement about what kind of baseball this is, and the league's own line about players taking pride in professional-style uniforms sits behind it. High Cheese keeps a league's rules beside its schedule and against its rosters, so a rulebook is something a player reads rather than a file he downloads.
