Boston Metro Baseball League

Boston Metro Baseball League Rules

Six separate rulebooks, one per division, plus a code of conduct and a waiver.

A rulebook per competition

The league publishes 18+ Rules, 28+ Rules, MetroWest Rules, Central Rules, Masters Rules and 45+ Rules as six distinct documents, alongside a Code of Conduct and a 2026 waiver every player fills out.

Nobody else in this directory does this. The usual arrangement is one rulebook with a paragraph of age exceptions bolted on, and it produces exactly the argument you would expect when a 45+ game is being played to an 18+ standard.

Six books means six sets of decisions somebody made on purpose about courtesy runners, pitching limits and how long a game lasts when the men playing it have work in the morning.

High Cheese keeps each division's own rules beside its own schedule, so a manager reads the one that applies to him.
