Bigger than last year, and it says so
SWABL runs adult baseball in Vancouver, Washington, and its own league update for 2026 is a list of three concrete improvements: updated fields, an expanded schedule, and more teams than last year.
Tryouts are planned for March, with a new player draft attached, and the league runs a 45-and-over All-Star Game.
It is unusually careful about how people get in, splitting its registration into two routes and shouting at anyone about to use the wrong one -- which is what a league does after a year of untangling forms filled in by the wrong people.
Everything it publishes is a form, a PDF or a survey. A High Cheese league page keeps the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, so a competition that is growing has somewhere for the growth to be recorded.
