Pocket Gophers and Jalapenos
Thurston County runs adult baseball around Olympia with seven clubs whose names are among the better ones in this directory: the Pocket Gophers, the Jalapenos, the Gunners, the Salamanders, the Monarchs and the Outlaws.
Games fall on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at seven, and on Saturdays at ten in the morning and one in the afternoon, across three grounds it calls RAC, Timberline and Wheeler.
It runs a Taxi Pool for players not on a roster, team stores for each club, a New Player FAQ, a league rulebook and a champions page.
And it publishes monthly awards with the numbers attached, which almost nobody at this level does.
All of it sits on a rented platform. A High Cheese league page keeps the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, so a seven-team league that already reports this well owns the reporting.
