The other Tri-Cities
There are two Tri-Cities Adult Baseball Leagues in these records, two thousand miles apart, and neither can be read. The Tennessee one -- Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol -- lives in a closed social group. This one -- Kennewick, Pasco and Richland, on the Columbia in eastern Washington -- lives on a registration platform's subdomain and returns twenty-four characters.
Neither region will ever concede the name.
There is also a Thurston County league across the state in these records that publishes monthly awards with WHIP and OPS attached, and a Southwest Washington league in Vancouver that publishes its managers' meetings by street address. Both are readable. The Tri-Cities is not.
A High Cheese league page states plainly which Tri-Cities, in which state, with the schedule, the standings and every roster rendered as pages at an address the league owns -- which settles a two-thousand-mile ambiguity by simply saying so.
