About Seacoast Men's Baseball

Thirty-six seasons in New Hampshire, created as an alternative to softball.

An alternative to softball, stated in the first line

Seacoast Men's Baseball was established in 1990 and is in its thirty-sixth season. Its rulebook opens by saying why it exists: to provide men 25 and over an alternative to softball and enable them to play the game they all grew up playing.

The season runs May to September -- fourteen regular season games, then playoffs and a league championship. Games are seven innings on a two hour fifteen minute limit, at nine and half past eleven in the morning, in wood bats only. Playoff games must be played to completion at nine innings, suspended and resumed if rain or darkness intervenes.

Its clubs include the Astros, Brewers, Mariners, Orioles and Diamondbacks, and the Astros were 2025 champions.

The rest of what it publishes -- home run leaders, no-hitters, rosters, game results, an archive -- is unusually complete for a league this size and lives on a site with no address of its own. A High Cheese league page puts the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, so thirty-six seasons stop depending on a hosting product.
