Incorporated, and it shows
The league publishes its rules and regulations in full as a web page, last updated January 2023, opening with a table of contents and membership section. Behind them sit the bylaws of Bay Area Men's Senior Baseball League, Inc., registered and on file with the State of California, which the rulebook cites as the source of the board's authority.
It also keeps a league content archive of past announcements, so material is retired rather than deleted.
A league with filed bylaws, a written appeals procedure and a fifteen-day notice requirement before discipline takes effect is running itself as an institution.
Documents belong beside the season they govern. A High Cheese league page keeps the rules and the bylaws attached to the year in play, at the league's own address.
