A World Series, and four places to chase it
The sixteen-game regular season is followed by playoffs including semi-finals and a championship series for the top teams. The league also runs occasional All-Star games and keeps All-Star Teams as its own published section.
Beyond its own season, players can join tournament teams that travel to the MSBL/MABL World Series in Phoenix -- played at major league spring training facilities -- and to Las Vegas, Palm Springs and Florida.
The league's own history records that its 1988 tournament trip to Arizona is where the 1989 championship team was conceived, so the travel side has shaped the league from its first year.
A championship recorded on a High Cheese league page keeps the bracket, the series and the winning roster attached to the year, which is how a written history of champions gets the standings underneath it.
