Doubleheaders, and a season that stops for the Fourth
The season runs April to August, on weekends, in doubleheaders -- two clubs, two games, one field. Teams play between fourteen and seventeen games before the postseason. The league took the Fourth of July weekend off in 2026 for the country's two hundred and fiftieth birthday, and resumed with the playoff drive from 8 August.
Under the charter the official schedule lives in GameChanger, along with the statistics, and lineups are supposed to be entered there before anyone reaches the field and verified before first pitch.
That works for the twelve rosters already inside it. A High Cheese schedule sits at the league's own address as well as on every player's phone, which means the fixture list is findable by the free agent deciding whether to register in January.
