Strength of schedule, judged by hand
Because the schedule is unbalanced, the league seeds its clubs rather than ranking them: a Top 8 division, then 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, 2A and A. It explains the process openly — we do look at your record, but more importantly we look at who you played. Was your record built on playing the weaker teams or the traditionally stronger teams.
That is a strength-of-schedule adjustment done by human judgement across seven tiers, in a league where clubs choose their own opponents. Nothing else here attempts it. Standings on High Cheese come out of the games themselves and carry every opponent with them, so the record and the schedule that produced it are visible side by side when the seeding committee sits down.
