Minnesota 50+ Baseball League Umpires

Declared to before every shared lineup, and never named.

Given the calls, not the credit

The rules put the umpire at the centre of two mechanisms: a club using the shared lineup system must alert both the umpire and the opposing manager before the game begins and call out "line-share" the first time it is used, and the balk and Anderson rules both depend on an official's judgement about where a fielder's feet were.

Writing rules that specific means the league trusts whoever is working the game. No assignor, crew, fee or route to working games is published. On High Cheese the crew attaches to the fixture, so an umpire arrives knowing which club declared a shared lineup.
