Inland Northwest MABL/MSBL

Joining the Inland Northwest Men's Baseball League

A workout on April 12, a draft, and a rule about who owns a new player.

Whoever found you, keeps you

The 2026 new player workout is April 12 at Hart Field on Spokane's South Hill — 18+ from noon to 2pm, then 30+, 45+ and 60+ from 2 to 4. Every player must create an account on the league's own portal. Roster paperwork is exacting: rosters due by opening day with league and player fees, proof of date of birth, application and waiver forms, and no changes after mid-season except injury or a player quitting.

The rule that governs recruitment is unusually clear-eyed. A player who reaches the league through its advertising is assigned by the league, through the tryout and draft. A player a club recruits itself belongs to that club. Anybody arriving after the tryout is pointed at teams that still need bodies. A High Cheese free agent pool makes that pool public all season, so a man who turns up in July is visible to twenty-two managers instead of relying on who happened to find him.
