Counted forward, not back
The league publishes no founding date and names no past champion. What it does record is its own growth: eleven clubs in the 25+ division and four in the 40+ during 2024, at least one more 40+ side expected the following year, twenty-plus new players coming in, and a 40+ division that now carries nine.
Doubling an age division in two years is the most interesting thing about this league and it survives only as a line in a January news post. Every season played on High Cheese keeps itself as standings, box scores and rosters together, so the year the 40+ went from four teams to nine is a record rather than a recollection.
