Get back in the game
The CMBL is a recreational league for adults 18 and older with teams in Wilmington and Jacksonville, North Carolina, offering competitive play across all skill levels. Its own pitch is three words long: get back in the game.
What makes it unusual is what sits on top. The league fields the Carolina Kraken, a 25+ side made up of its best players, who represent it in regional events and national tournaments including the USA Baseball World Series in Myrtle Beach. A 35+ side is being entered this year as well.
The Kraken were invited to play the Oak Island Loggerheads, a collegiate summer wood bat team in the Old North State League, on their opening night, and won 6-3.
High Cheese gives a league the roster, the schedule and the record in one place, which for a league that also selects a travelling side out of itself is the difference between picking on reputation and picking on numbers.
