Both of them mattered
The league publishes no scores page, and two results appear in its writing. The Cape Fear River Ducks beat the Northern Lights 5-1 in their only regular season meeting, which is now the tiebreaker deciding the top seed. The Carolina Kraken beat the Oak Island Loggerheads 6-3 on the Loggerheads' opening night.
Both were reported because both meant something, which is a fair description of how amateur baseball remembers itself.
High Cheese scores the game at the field, offline if the signal drops, and posts the box score when the book is finalized, so the games that turn out to matter are recorded before anybody knows they will.
