The valley, and which one
The St. Croix runs between Minnesota and Wisconsin, and a league named for its valley is claiming a corridor rather than a town -- Stillwater, Hudson, the river villages on both banks.
Our directory holds no address for it at all: no website, no social page, no listing.
Both states either side of that river take amateur baseball more seriously than almost anywhere else in the country. Minnesota town ball has an unbroken century behind it; Wisconsin's Dairyland League appears in these records split by the size of the towns in it, also with no address.
A great deal of very good, very old amateur baseball in that corridor, and not one line of it published.
A High Cheese league page is a permanent address with the schedule, the grounds and every roster rendered as pages -- so a valley league on a state line is findable from both banks by people who did not grow up on either.
