Two thousand miles of ambiguity
The Mississippi Valley runs from Minnesota to the Gulf. A league named for it could be in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi or Louisiana, and our directory holds no address, no state and no city to narrow it.
There is no website, no social page and no listing -- nothing at all beyond the name.
Grand geographic names are a habit in amateur baseball and they cut both ways. They sound like an institution and they tell a searching player nothing about whether the league is within driving distance.
A High Cheese league page keeps the name and adds the thing it is missing: a permanent address stating the towns, the grounds and the season, with the schedule, the standings and every roster rendered as pages -- so a river league is findable by the people who actually live on its stretch of the river.
