The Rocket City Classic
The league runs an annual tournament named for Huntsville's nickname, and treats it as a proper event: information and forms published under its handouts section, with a direct link from the front page and a named person taking enquiries.
That named person is the league's own president, who publishes his telephone number and email address against the tournament rather than routing it through an office.
A tournament run by a fifteen-team local league and advertised with its own forms pack is a piece of infrastructure for the whole region, not just its own clubs.
A championship or a tournament recorded on a High Cheese league page keeps the bracket, the final and the winning roster attached to the year, so a Rocket City Classic accumulates a history rather than being re-announced each spring.
