Eleven and four
The 2024 season carried eleven teams in the 25+ division and four in the 40+, with the league expecting at least one more 40+ side and twenty or more new players the following year.
Its stated mechanism for growth explains the shape: teams arrive whole, or they arrive as a splinter from one or more existing clubs. That is why a 25+ division of eleven can produce a fourth and fifth 40+ team without any central recruitment at all.
The league keeps a Teams and Rosters section with divisions and teams as separate pages.
A High Cheese team page belongs to the club rather than the season, so a side formed by splintering off two existing rosters gets its own address from its first game -- which is also how its players are found.
