Fees due before the season starts
The league publishes its financial calendar plainly on its front page: team fees due on a stated date in early May, with the season beginning the first Sunday in June.
Alongside it runs open practices at a named campus on Sundays from three to six -- an unusual and generous thing for a league to organise centrally, and the obvious place for a new player to be seen.
Its route for individuals is thinner than its route for clubs. The published invitation is directed at anyone contemplating starting a new team in either division, with the president's contact attached.
A join page that states the fee beside the season it buys, with a free agent pool underneath it that managers can see, is what a High Cheese league page adds -- and in a league that grows by splintering, the pool is what turns a splinter of six into a roster of fifteen.
