Southern California Amateur Baseball League

Joining the SoCal Amateur Baseball League

Three routes: already on a team, through tryouts, or the waitlist.

Three doors, correctly separated

SCABL splits its registration three ways and labels each one for the person using it. Registration for players already on a team. Tryout registration, for players who wish to join a team through tryouts. And a waitlist, for those who missed tryouts but would like to be placed on a team.

That third category is the one nearly every league forgets, and it is the largest.

Behind the waitlist sits a player pool: as teams need players, the league passes their information on. And behind that sits a fourth option it states plainly -- if you have a few friends, start your own team, draft the remaining players at the tryout, or have the league send you players from the pool.

Four routes in, each with its own form, for a competition that publishes no fee.

A High Cheese join page states the price beside the season it buys and keeps the pool underneath it where managers can see it, which is the automated version of passing information on as teams need players.
