Let's play two
SCABL runs adult baseball in Southern California and organises its whole year around a single event: an open tryout, held before each season, which it calls straightforwardly your best way to join a team.
Its front page carries a quote of the day from Ernie Banks -- there's sunshine, fresh air, and the team's behind us, let's play two -- alongside two live countdown clocks, one to opening day and one to the tryout.
It runs a spring and summer season and a fall season, publishes information for next year's spring campaign a year ahead, and takes new clubs as readily as new players.
What it does not publish anywhere is a standing, a result or a roster. A High Cheese league page keeps the schedule, the standings and every roster at an address the league owns, which is the record a league that recruits this deliberately has nothing to show for.
