Weather is not a problem
The 2026 Labor Day Tournament is open for registration and every game is at Grand Park in Westfield, which the league calls the premier amateur baseball facility in the Midwest. Everything is on synthetic turf, so metal spikes are banned — molded rubber, plastic or turf shoes only. The league is blunt about why that matters: turf is playable thirty minutes after the rain stops, every field has lights, and all games will be played to completion. Teams are seeded after bracket play.
Guaranteeing that no game will be abandoned is a promise almost no amateur tournament can make, and it is entirely a consequence of the surface. High Cheese publishes a tournament, takes the entries and runs the bracket on the same page as the league, so a visiting club can find the event and read the cleat rule before it packs.
