Awards, and no numbers behind them
The league publishes an 18+ MVP roll — Noah Navarro of the Blue Jays in 2024, Trey Douglass of the Arrows in 2023, JT Ellison of the Mustangs in 2022, Andy Manzur in 2021 — and a Cy Young roll: Joey Weller of the Indians in 2024, Adam Wheaton of the Arrows in 2023, Hayden Cleveland of the Hurricanes in 2022. Two manager-of-the-year awards carry names, the Al Maniero at 18+ and the Julio Campins at 25+.
Naming your manager awards after two men is how a league keeps its own people in front of the next generation. What is missing is any statistic at all — no batting or pitching figure is published, so a Cy Young winner is a name without an ERA. Statistics on High Cheese come out of the box scores as they are entered and follow a player between clubs and seasons, so an award has the season underneath it.
