Indianapolis MSBL/MABL

Indiana Baseball League Rules

A 2026 rulebook, six age divisions, and a hard cleat rule on turf.

Written down, and one rule that bites

The league publishes a full 2026 rulebook and its structural rules on the join page: six age divisions with different game counts and season lengths, a February tryout and draft, prorated fees for late arrivals. The rule with the sharpest edge is the surface one — no metal spikes on the Grand Park turf, molded rubber, plastic or turf shoes only, which applies to most of the games this league plays.

A cleat rule is the kind of thing a player finds out about at the gate unless somebody puts it where he is already reading. High Cheese keeps a league's rules beside its schedule and attaches a field's own restrictions to the fixture, so the man packing his bag on Saturday night knows.
