Forty and over, sixty and over
The Roy Hobbs 40+ and 60+ Baseball League of Huntsville describes what it offers in three lines: competitive but fun games for players forty and older, the option to bring your own team or join an existing roster, and a welcoming community of passionate players. Registration closes April 1, the season starts June 1, and games are played at multiple high school and college fields. It links out to the national Roy Hobbs organization and runs a Facebook page for north Alabama.
A 60+ division is a rarity anywhere and this one currently consists of two clubs playing each other. High Cheese gives a league one address it owns with both divisions' fixtures, tables and rosters on it, so a sixty-two-year-old looking for baseball in the Tennessee Valley finds something more than a start date.
