Captions without pictures
The 2021 archive is written around images that are no longer delivered — the captions survive on their own: a pitcher's arm proving insurmountable in the championship game, a first baseman awaiting the throw to end a runner's attempt to reach.
Somebody photographed those nights and wrote proper captions for them, and what is left is the caption. Team and league pages on High Cheese carry photos and push them into a feed the whole league reads, so the picture and the recap it belongs to stay together.
