Hoosier Adult Baseball League History

Founded 2018, and a championship report that reads like a newspaper.

The night a 52-year-old walked it off

The league's archive holds its 2021 championship in full. The Monarchs, twice defending champions, beat the Reds 13-3 in seven for a third straight title under skipper Robert Newton — the Reds led 1-0 in the first, tied it at two in the third, and were still within three after five before the Monarchs put six on in the sixth. It ended with the bases loaded, two out, and Jody Donaldson lining to centre on his 52nd birthday.

The report names the eldest player in the league for hustling out a bunt in a losing cause, and calls 2021 the most competitive and arguably the most fun of the league's four seasons so far — which places the league's founding in 2018. Every season played on High Cheese keeps itself as standings, box scores and rosters together, so writing this good has a permanent record underneath it rather than one archived page.
