Game three, three weeks later
The league publishes its playoffs series by series, game by game, with dates, home teams and scores.
The 2025 postseason: in round one the fourth-seeded Tigers beat the top-seeded Phantoms 7-5 in game one before the Phantoms took the next two, 4-3 and 5-1, to advance. The second-seeded Pirates beat the third-seeded A's 4-2 and 9-2 and did not need a third.
The championship went the distance and then some. Game one on Thursday 11 September, Phantoms at home, Pirates won 8-5. Game two on Friday the 12th, Pirates at home, Phantoms won 11-4. Game three on Saturday 27 September, back at the Phantoms' ground -- two weeks later -- Pirates won the championship 6-1.
A deciding game postponed a fortnight and then won 6-1 on the road is a story, and the league recorded every step of it.
A championship on a High Cheese league page keeps the bracket, each game and the winning roster attached to the season, so a series that stretched across three weeks reads as the three games it actually was.
