Four, and everybody plays everybody
The league fields the Dodgers, the Blue Jays, the Marlins and the Phillies. With four teams and fifteen games, each club meets each of the others five times a season, which is about as familiar as baseball gets.
The same players also make up the Scarborough Maroons all-star sides that travel to national and provincial tournaments in age groups from 35 up to 50 and over.
A four-team league is one injury away from a forfeit and one recruiting year away from being three.
A High Cheese team page belongs to the club rather than the season, so the Marlins keep one address across every roster and result -- and the free agent pool that sits beside it is what keeps four teams being four teams.
