The paperwork behind the Salty Dogs
The paperwork Salty Dogs deal with belongs to the Santa Barbara Men's Adult Baseball League: registration, waivers and whatever the league requires of a club before it plays.
The Salty Dogs are one club of 14 the directory carries for this league with no site of their own.
Handling registration as an account rather than a printed form is what makes the draft, the free agent list and the wait list workable across three divisions.
A league's rule book and the forms a club actually hands a new player are different things, and High Cheese holds the second kind.
