Three leagues, three different games
AAA plays seven-inning games as Sunday doubleheaders, with a weeknight game roughly every other week. It runs from the third week of May to the third week of August, and its playoffs are best-of-three series. It is 17 and over, and the league allows sixteen-year-olds in with a parent or guardian's signature.
AA plays nine-inning games as Sunday singles, with a weeknight game every two or three weeks. It starts in the last week of April and its playoffs fall in September, decided by single elimination. The age rule is absolute: you must be turning 25 in the year you want to play, no exceptions.
The A league is 17 and over and restricted -- nobody who has played college baseball within the last twenty years may take part.
Three different game lengths, three different postseason formats and three different eligibility tests is a genuinely thought-through structure, and the league publishes a full RBL Rule Book on top of it.
Rules that differ by league need to reach the player in the right one. A High Cheese league page keeps each competition's rules beside its own schedule, at the league's own address.
