Udder Tuggers and River Pigs
The league fields the Bangor Mets, Bethel Braves, Central Maine Green Wave, Gorham Gashouse Gorillas, Hippach Hounds, Kennebec Sturgeons, Lincoln County Cardinals, Mid-Coast Yard Goats, Mid-Maine River Pigs, Monmouth Moose, Paris Panthers, Pen Bay Pirates, Rumford Expos, Sabattus Rangers, Topsham Udder Tuggers, Turner Marlins, Twin City Assassins and Winthrop Red Sox.
The Topsham Udder Tuggers are the reigning champions. The Mid-Maine River Pigs are named for the men who drove logs down the Kennebec. The Kennebec Sturgeons are named for a fish that still jumps out of that river. This is a league that named itself out of the place it plays in.
Each club has a page on the league's site, and the league also keeps a team managers list.
A High Cheese team page belongs to the club rather than the season, so the Udder Tuggers keep one address across every roster, result and title -- which matters more in a league of eighteen than in a league of five.
