Two dynasties, four years apart
The league lists its recent champions on its front page. The West Paris Westies took 2019. The Winthrop Red Sox won 2021 and then went back to back in 2022. The Bethel Braves won 2023 and then went back to back in 2024. The Topsham Udder Tuggers took 2025.
Two clubs winning two in a row within four years of each other, in an eighteen-team league, is a competitive balance most competitions would take.
The league also keeps a PTL Archive section and traces its own roots past the 1960s, which would make it one of the older continuously running adult leagues in New England -- and none of that earlier record is on the site.
Seasons kept on a High Cheese league page accumulate at the league's own address, so a champions list stops being six lines on a homepage and becomes sixty years of standings, rosters and finals.
